The appeal to the Sex Video Affair of the French National Player Karim Benzema has been scheduled for June 30 and July 1 in Versailles. This learned the French news agency afp on Tuesday from judicial circles.

The striker of Real Madrid was convicted in November 2021 to a year prison on probation and a fine of 75,000 euros.

Benzema was found guilty of the aid to the attempted extortion of his former French national team colleague Mathieu Valbuena. The verdict fell two months higher than the prosecutor demanded. Benzema appealed.

The scandal had shaken the French national team 2015, both Benzema and Valbuena had to leave the team. Benzema was now predicted by national coach Didier Deschamps.
