Nintendo has released its financial results for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2023.
In the first half, sales increased by 5.2 % year-on-year to 656.9 billion yen, operating income increased by 0.2 % to ¥220.3 billion, ordinary income increased by 36.5 % to 322.4 billion yen, quarterly net income that belongs to parent shareholders is 34.1 %. The increase is 230.4 billion yen.
Regarding ordinary income, the reason for the numbers is that foreign exchange gains have been raised by 76.4 billion yen due to the depreciation of the yen, which has been noisy, and the increase in receiving interests.
The sales volume of the Nintendo Switch itself was reduced by 19.2%to 6.68 million units, due to the lack of semiconductor parts. On the other hand, due to the relation of the release time, the organic EL model has increased an interesting way to grow 6,211.8%year-on-year.
As for the software, 7.9 million Platoon 3, Nintendo Switch Sports were 6.15 million, Ministry Cars Battle League was 2.17 million, and Zeno blade 3 was 1.72 million. In addition, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe released in 2017 has been very popular with 3.07 million.
