The 2022 World Cup in Qatar has been controversial from the start. There has been speculation that the heat in Qatar could present a potential health risk to players and fans, with research suggesting that it is unsafe for humans to play soccer at above 27 degrees Celsius. Qatar was accused of bribery and corruption to secure the bid, which has led to an ongoing investigation by Swiss authorities. It’s not just an issue for players or fans.
